My cousin sister’s friend is doing some kinda course in Singapore and she needed me to do an AD for her.
This is an ad for a fictional car called Laegon Surfer; Laegon is the parent company while Surfer is the brand of a new car they’ve introduced.
The main idea behind this ad was that it’s a new type of car that’s supposed to be sold to the ‘yuppie’ corporate types who spend way too much time in the office and occasionally step out and go for long drives or take their ‘friends’ out to look cool.
The images are stock images I’ve mooched off the internet and since it’s not being used for any commercial purpose I suppose it’s ok.
If anyone has a problem please contact me and I’ll take it off.
I chose these colours to reflect some sense of class at the same time to try and make sure it isn’t overtly boring.
If anyone’s been paying attention to my blog they’ll notice the halftone monster having left his stamp even on this piece of work.
I’m currently going through this phase of loving any piece of art that has some kind of Halftone effect in it…
Here’s another piece of work I did, following a tutorial from PSDtuts.
Of course since I’m currently in love with the halftone effect you can see it reflected in my work as well.
I hope you like it. Clicking on the thumbnail will lead you to a 1440 x 1050px wallpaper that you can download.
If anyone’s interested I could upload it in other sizes as well.
So after months of being a big fan of the tutorials at Psdtuts.com I finally got down to actually following a tutorial and this is what I came up with.
So anyway, I kinda got lost somewhere in the tutorial and made some minor changes.
But here’s a nice list of articles that are a must read if you haven’t already been through them.
My favorites include a super cool lighting effects Tutorial by Fabio and a really cool Filter Free art tutorial.
Even if you don’t go through all the others, I strongly recommend taking a look at these two.
Of course, getting your hands on a couple of free vectors and textures is always a good thing.
