The Simpsons

“DOH!”

I think that this show has been the one of the funniest shows on network TV ever since I can remember.

Homer Simpson has become a role model for many millions of viewers around the world. And ironically he’s even influenced the fairer sex.

Every episode has it’s twists and the parodies on real life events are absolutely hilarious.

Here’s something very interesting I found on youtube. I’m sure some of you have already seen this before. But for those who haven’t, this is a must see.

I thought this was really neat. Especially with two guitars and all. The only question that remains in my mind is that: Is the guitarist a boy or a girl?

Though in the larger scheme of things with talent like that, looks hardly play a role. They may add some points to you if you want to be a pop idol. However to be a rock-star, the harder you are to be identified as a human, the cooler you get.
But more on that in another post.

Enjoy this for now.

Logic, Atheism and God

October 7th, 2007 by admin

Right so there was this rather interesting discussion about Islam in Europe on the wcreplays forums.

It was about Sharia law taking over Europe. Of course, as any public forum would have it, the thread shifted from Islam bashing / defending to Atheists claiming that God does not exist because his existence defies logic.

So I had some comments to make on the matter.

Logic is something that should technically guide all our lives. The World functions based on a logical pattern.

However, we as humans don’t know it all. Logically then we have a lot to learn.
So when Atheists say that God doesn’t exist because his existence defies logic, maybe it’s just a problem with our ability to comprehend the logic behind his existence and behaviour.
With every passing generation we prove wrong many “Truths” that previous generations held so dear.
What’s to say that someday some future generation may even see the Logic in the existence of God.

Lack of knowledge also plays a major role in deciding what may appear to be logical and what may not. So technically, all the intellectual atheists should be the first to admit that they don’t know enough about God in the first place to say he doesn’t exist.
At least for theists there’s something called faith.

So our lack of understanding can be quite easily backed by faith.
I must admit, it is very convenient for us to say this, but that doesn’t mean we’re wrong.

As far as providing proof is concerned, here’s something I’d like to say. (Thanks to one of the wcreplays forum members for this)

How was the universe made? Till date one doesn’t have an accurate record of how that actually happened.
The BIG BANG theory in itself is a very illogical statement to make. (Using the very same argument that Atheists would use)
The fact that something can be created out of nothing on it’s own doesn’t make sense does it?
If I were to tell you that I saw a house build itself you’d laugh at me and call me mad.
Similarly if someone says that the universe built itself, it doesn’t make too much sense right?
So obviously someone who’s far more powerful than we are and is too far out of our ability to grasp the logic behind they’re existence must have some role to play.

This someone I call God.

Just my views though.

Pink Panther

This has to be one of my Favourite movies of all time.

For those of you haven’t seen the original series, you have to get your hands on them and watch them.
All the movies are not only funny but also have a class to their humor that’s hard to find these days.

Here’s something I found on Youtube that many of you might actually enjoy.

I especially enjoy the improvised solo after the actual composition by Henry Mancini.

Here’s a link to more information on the movies:

You might like to Keep in mind that the original movies were far better than the more recent remake starring Steve Martin. Even though he is one of the few actors I really like, he pales in comparison to Peter Sellers.
