At their best, desktop wallpapers bring animation to often lifeless computer screens, reflecting the personality of the user and acting as a calling card for creative talent. The desktopography project arrived in 2005 as a place to download nature / topological themed wallpapers with edits from selected designers. Designers spend about 90% of their waking life in front of a computer so the most appealing genre for a wallpaper would be one that has beautiful design mixed with the all important aspect of being outdoors.
Ever since its conception, Desktopography has been a non-profit, fun project and we would encourage you to share this site with family, friends and people you know, there is something here for everyone not just designers. Most of the wallpapers here can be downloaded in a variety of sizes
For the designer, creating wallpapers is a great way to perfect your craft and create images specifically for different environments from desktops and laptops to mobile phones and MP3 players. What we see everyday can affect our mood and state of mind, enhance your desktop with a wallpaper creation from desktopography and feel the essence of nature and the outdoor existence on your computer. Bring tranquility to your desktop, feel the wilderness and give your background a breath of fresh air..
Need I say more?
Here are some of my favourite wallpapers from 2008. (To download the wallpapers, you’ll have to goto Desktopography and get it from there.)

Kudos to the creative minds that did all this awesome work. It really is amazing.
I’d like to credit ‘YoutheDesigner‘ for helping me find the original website.
Cheers!

I don’t think this movie needs any introduction or description. Everyone’s seen this movie. And if you’re one of the few who hasn’t, please go watch it now. Also, while you’re at it, please also watch Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Fight Club, Kill Bill (Volumes 1 and 2) and American History X. ( I would add Batman - The Dark Knight to the list as well, but I’m going to give that a year to see if it’s still an awesome of a movie to me then, as it is now.)
I can’t recall the number of times I’ve seen this movie, however each time I watch this movie I go into a trance, into a state where everything around me is now awesome. Everything about this movie is awesome, right from the story to the direction, right up to the acting and action.
If someone told me that I had 3 hours to live and that I could ONLY watch a movie in those 3 hours, this movie would probably be it. Closely followed by any of the other moves I’ve listed above.
Anyway, I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Pulp Fiction in typography, but here are two cool clips that you shouldn’t miss.
I would have liked it even more if they had done it with the passage from Ezekiel 25:17
And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
Enjoy!
